Description

The first two days of this course are
designed to review the practical performance and principles
of balance assessment and management with emphasis on
interpretation. This is an intermediate to advanced course,
directed at otolaryngologists, neurologists, audiologists,
physical therapists and others interested in vestibular
testing. Examples of test abnormalities will be discussed
and cases used to illustrate how to apply the test results
to achieve successful treatment strategies.
The third day will focus on testing
techniques with hands-on instruction.
Attendees are encouraged to attend either or both
sessions.

Judith White, M.D., Ph.D.
Section Head Vestibular & Balance
Disorders Head and Neck Institute Cleveland Clinic,
Cleveland OH
Dr. White is a board-certified
Otolaryngology and is Head of the Vestibular &
Balance Disorders Section of the Head and Neck Institute
at the Cleveland Clinic. Her specialty interests are in
vestibular disorders, dizziness and balance, hearing
problems and ear disease.
A. Tucker Gleason, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Clinical
Otolaryngology Director, Vestibular and Balance Center
University of Virginia Health System, Charlottesville VA
Dr. Gleason is an Audiologist certified
by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Her
clinical practice is in dizziness & balance
disorders and tinnitus. Her research interests are in
vestibular physiology, cochlear mechanics, and
vestibular/visual interaction.
